Study on Breeding and Scale-up in Fermenters of Rifamycin

and LiCl as mutating agent, the Amycolatopsis mediterranei
strain A22-04 was successfully obtained. The strain's potency
of rifamycin SV recheached 6 837 u/mL and was 36.5% higher
than the original strain. In 10 L fermentor its potency
was 7 234 u/mL and the fermentation period was 120 h ,with
12 h shorter than the former fermentation time. And in 30
m^3 tank its yield was 6 497 u/mL and the fermentation time
